Point to Point
This trail connects many of the main parts of the park on the prairie branch peninsula part of the park. As a result, where it begins is a little subjective, and one leg is mapped as a connector (see Dogwood - Nature Center Connector).
If you are in the Prairie Branch Campground, the trail heads south to the parking area near the shelters. From there, it heads northeast more-or-less along the park road. It forms a three-way intersection with itself after a bit less than half a mile--here you can continue on the Dogwood Trail (mapped as Dogwood - Nature Center Connector) north to the Nature Center, or turn left/west into a forest of tall pines.
The trail will meet another park road and an unmarked forest road, so keep an eye out for the light-blue blazes as the trail zigzags a bit. The trail ends on the Prairie Branch Loop, which you can use to get back to the Prairie Branch Campground where this description began to make a nice short loop.
