Description
The Camels Hump View Trail begins at the Camels Hump State Park parking area near the end of Camels Hump Road. From the trailhead, the route follows a wide, well-maintained path through mixed hardwood forest. After a gentle climb, the trail opens onto a grassy meadow with an excellent view of Camel’s Hump and the Green Mountains beyond. Interpretive signs along the way describe local plants, wildlife, and the mountain’s glacial history, making this a popular option for families and first-time visitors. Fall colors make this area especially vibrant, and the short distance makes it accessible even late in the day. This easy trail offers one of the most rewarding viewpoints for minimal effort in central Vermont.
