Description
This trail finally reopened after being closed for the past three years due to the Carpenter 1 fire in 2013. This trail makes a great starting point to reach Griffith Peak, or you can continue to the Mt. Charleston summit and back. Another option is to do the South Loop to North Loop connector. There are breathtaking views the entire trail. Plenty of switchbacks bring you up through the aspen, ponderosa, and bristlecone pines to just over 11,000 feet at the Griffith Peak.
