Description
This is a very short hike to a great overlook of some "goosenecks" where Sulphur Creek makes some tight turns in its course. This is also a very interesting place to view sections of sandstone and limestone in the rock across the canyon. The Goosenecks Overlook is off the main Highway 24 about 1 mile. The trail to the overlook is an easy hike. The overlook is right at the edge. The view is impressive as you see the small Sulphur Creek twisting and turning and realize that this small creek carved 800 ft below to make this canyon. The creek eventually meets up with other creeks and then the Colorado River east of here.
