Description
The North Bend Rail Trail is 72 miles long and stretches from I-77 near Parkersburg in Wood County to Wolf Summit. It passes through 13 tunnels and crosses 36 bridges. The trail mostly parallels US Route 50 east and west. Along with primitive camp locations along the length of the trail, overnight accommodations are available at North Bend State Park. The park has a lake, mountain bike/hiking trails and overnight accommodations (lodge and cabins). More information about the park's amenities and singletrack trail network can be found at the park's website. The North Bend Rail Trail can be used to connect the trail system at nearby Mountwood Park to the trail system at North Bend State Park.
