When you get to the bridge on Eucalyptus Loop, get ready for a short punchy ascent. Normally the creek is dry during the summer and fall.

Description
Heading up Wilder Ridge Loop you'll see the first marker for Twin Oaks trail. This can be used as an alternate climbing route or you can continue up on the fire road and link up with some other trails in the park and use the Twin Oaks Trail as part of your descent back to the parking area. From here, you are only about half way up the park so depending on how big your loop will be this is a great addition to just fire road climbs. The trail starts by descending through open meadows which partly overlook the ocean, after the rolling hike you'll reach the tree line and Wilder Ridge Loop once again.
