Description
Parking is located at the Thunder Rock Campground. You'll hike through the campground to the cul-de-sac at the end where the singletrack trail starts. The trail starts out with some pretty steep switchbacks but then flattens out and is more manageable for most of the way. At the end, you can either turn around and hike back or take the forestry road back to the trailhead for a loop. You can also take the forestry road down to the Thunder Rock Express bike trail for some additional mileage and climbing. The trail was not very maintained at the time of recording, and I had to scramble around a downed tree on the initial climb.
