Description
This is a very well-developed, wide, concrete hike and bike trail maintained by the City of Houston. The east end begins at the intersection of Chatterton and Sherwood Forest Street. There is a bridge that crosses Turkey Creek, and from there the trail passes south and west along the toe of the dam. Access to the Kirkwood bike lane is possible via the Reddleshire bridge. Please note that the parking area at this point, next to the tennis courts, is private. Public parking is not allowed. The west end of the trail is at Dairy Ashford, just east of the Spirit Way intersection. There are on-road dedicated bike lanes on North Dairy Ashford from the I-10 access road to North Eldridge Parkway, as well as a pedestrian sidewalk on the north side of the road.
