Lower Trail

This trail begins at the parking area and follows Roaring Run for most of its length. Not far from the trailhead, there is an incredibly steep section. If the water is low enough or there is a rock bridge, it's sometimes possible to cross the stream quite easily. About a mile in, the rocks become more sparse and the trail becomes less technical. At about 2 miles from the parking lot, the trail meets up with Sand Spring Trail and the Sand Spring campsite.
