Please use reflective colors such as orange or yellow since hunting is allowed on some parts of the trail.
Path Type
Loop
I normally start this trail clockwise. You'll cross a bridge and keep hiking until you find a sign that says "Whipple Lake Trail, 3 miles." The trail starts to its right-hand side. The first part of the trail is uphill, but it isn't steep at all. Just follow the yellow signs, and you won't get lost in the many intersections that you'll find. Once you reach the top of this uphill segment, be careful, you'll have to share this small part of the trail with vehicles (although drivers rarely use this trail).Keep hiking and you'll enter a part of the trail where vehicles aren't allowed but hunting is (I have never seen any hunter here). It is indicated by a yellow signal on a tree. From here, go downhill and reach the river. You'll cross a few wooden bridges (I think there are 5 bridges in total).
