From the Katrina Falls Road Trailhead, follow the main trail as it descends steadily into the Neversink River Gorge. The route forms a large circuit, with short out-and-back spurs leading to three distinct waterfalls. At the first junction, stay left and continue downhill to a signed spur leading to Denton Falls—a multi-tiered cascade tucked into the forest. Return to the main trail and continue south along the gorge, passing dense hemlock groves and rocky stretches with uneven footing.
At the next signed spur, turn right toward High Falls, the tallest and most dramatic waterfall in the area. This spur is less traveled and may be overgrown in sections. Back on the main loop, continue west, then veer right toward Mullet Falls. This quieter spur crosses a stream before ending at a plunge-style waterfall surrounded by moss-covered cliffs. After returning from Mullet Falls, complete the circuit by heading northeast and climbing gradually out of the gorge to reconnect with the trailhead.
Expect steep, rocky terrain and variable trail conditions, especially near the waterfalls. This moderate backcountry route offers rewarding views, cool river air, and a chance to explore one of the best waterfall hikes in Sullivan County.
