Trail Overview

This trail is a well-maintained gravel road that splits off North Slope Road and heads South, following the East Fork of the Blacks Fork River for five and a half miles before dead-ending at a turn into a Forest Service Campground and hiking trailhead. This trail is open from May first through December 15th, but may be impassable due to deep snow. The road is wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass comfortably along the entire trail, with the only obstacles being some small potholes that have formed. This road is scenic as it travels up the wide canyon with views of the surrounding mountains throughout the trail, along with a few spurs heading down towards the river as well as to some dispersed camp spots.
