Trail Overview

W4A is a blue-rated connector trail that branches from W4 and intersects W2. It provides an alternate route between the two trails while offering a moderate climb from its eastern entrance. The trail consists of dirt, loose rocks, and clay. The western route features a steep descent, with loose rock and clay creating a more technical section if going down. Weather can play a factor in how difficult the trail becomes, so approach carefully.

Difficulty

Moderate (Blue). Mixed terrain with loose rock, clay, and a moderate hill climb. Suitable for most 4WD and high-clearance vehicles. Requires basic line choice, throttle control, and attention to terrain. Clay and loose rock can reduce traction during wet weather, making the uphill climb more challenging. The intersection with W2 is located near the crest of a hill, limiting visibility of approaching traffic.
