Trail Overview

RH 199 is a highly technical, advanced-level trail that challenges riders with constant rock obstacles and narrow terrain along a rugged ridgeline. From the south entrance, it climbs up a rock ledge right away and immediately transitions into a rocky ridge with constant rock obstacles and boulders. It continues north with tight maneuvering between constant rock layers, roots, and troughs that can be extremely slick when wet. There are frequent rock obstacles on the ridge, including rock gardens, long stair-step sections with several 1-3 foot ledges in a row. It's a skinny trail with off-camber side-hilling, really narrow tree gaps, downed trees at awkward heights that will have to be crossed, and a couple of technical rock pinches. Expect tall ledge obstacles with roots at off-camber angles that will be a challenge to get through. It goes through rock gardens and past scenic mossy boulders and rock formations in this lush forest. Overall, it's a fun challenge for more advanced riders.
