Kelly's Creek Trail 28 is an out-and-back adventure to a well site and beyond. The majority of the route to the well site is a relatively steep climb with loose rocks and minor ruts. The trail begins off Kelly's Creek Road in an area known as Schoolhouse Hollow, and ultimately dead ends, with the ideal turnaround location being just before the end of the trail. The section past the well site becomes increasingly narrow, and there are some washouts and short runs of off-camber hills. The level area around the well is small but has ample room to park or turn around several vehicles.
