Trail Overview

BM 29 is a varied route in the Buffalo Mountain Trail System, but easy overall. The west end begins with a flat, wide section along the hilltops, passing a scenic overlook of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail includes rocky and rutted areas before intersecting with BM 28, then narrows into a steeper, shelf-like path with loose rock and ruts along the mountainside. Wide switchbacks provide a manageable descent toward trails BM 89 and BM 181. From there, it transitions into a smoother, mostly easy ride northward, featuring scenic rock walls and lush, jungle-like surroundings.
