Trail Overview
BM 199 follows a ridgeline for 3.4 miles, offering a mix of narrow and moderately wide sections, but remains a challenging trail best suited for advanced riders. It winds underneath a leafy canopy with tight maneuvering between trees, and multiple steep sections filled with embedded rock, forming moderate to advanced shelves and drop-offs. Some areas are wider with split lines between embedded boulder faces, but the terrain stays technical due to constant root bands, mossy rocks, and slick loamy soil. There is a really scenic rock formation about halfway through, and fallen trees at awkward heights require ducking to get under. Several slick logs across the trail demand straight-on approaches, and off-camber rock and root obstacles add to the difficulty. This is a rewarding and scenic challenge for highly experienced dirt bikers.
Difficulty
This is an advanced single track with frequent, highly technical rock and root obstacles, slick logs, and steep hills, ideal for only the most advanced dirt bikers. This trail will become extremely difficult in wet conditions.
