Trail Overview

B47 is an easy 0.8-mile connector that winds through dense, lush Appalachian forest. The path is mostly manageable for drivers with basic off-road experience, though it includes loose rocks, shallow mud puddles, and some low-hanging branches from the overgrowth. While there are a few steeper sections, the overall grade is a mix of gradual and moderate. A small stream crossing near the middle adds a bit of variety, with a slightly rockier surface. This trail provides access to more challenging routes, including B73, B45, and B46, making it a useful transition route within the Bearwallow system.
