Trail Overview
Water Hollow Trail is a scenic 2.8-mile route through dense stands of pine and aspen trees, offering offroad enthusiasts of all skill levels an immersive escape into Utah's backcountry. Starting on the western end at the junction of Water Hollow Road and Willow Creek Road, the trail steadily climbs from 7,741 feet to an elevation of 8,890 feet, providing a cumulative elevation gain of 1,149 feet. This trail is ideal for high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles and SxSs, boasting a mild technical rating of 3 where approximately 85 percent of the route remains a straightforward, easy drive. Drivers will wind through dense forest canopies and open clearings that provide ample opportunities to spot local wildlife, including abundant mule deer, Rocky Mountain elk, wild turkey, and grouse.
The eastern terminus connects seamlessly with the Bull Valley trail, allowing for extended exploration of the surrounding trail network.
