Trail Overview

When in St. George Utah this is a nice scenic loop that completes the Diamond Valley, Lone Pine-Cottonwood Loop train marked on the map. This ride is on maintained County, BLM and ranch dirt roads. You will need to take oiled roads to get to the starting points of this loop, the loop does travel through Diamond Valley which is a residential area. Slow down, quiet down, obey the laws and be a good UTV steward. Start of this loop is on the West Old Turkey Road that also runs through the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area. You can run this loop in either direction. There are some steep road grades on this trail but are manageable as long as there has been no snow or major rain in the area. Also you can choose to go back into St. George on the same route or turn East which will take you over to Leeds, UT. Remember you can always take the Loop backwards from where you started because the view is always different going the opposite direction! In Utah you must have a Street Legal ATV/UTV and Insurance coverage to drive on any roads that are under 60 MPH. You cannot ride on any Freeways. If your ATV/UTV is registered as Street Legal from out of the State of Utah you are still required to purchase a Utah State Off road Permit. This same rule applies to Arizona which also requires Street Legal (Any State) and an Arizona Off road Permit.

Confused why this is rated a 3. It is graded. Smooth. No obstacles. It is the definition of a 1 rating.

We took this trail from Diamond Valley Lone Pine Cottonwood Loop. Once there it was amazing, the beauty of the area. We saw no wildlife and plenty of places to pull off for lunch.

Some mud holes on North side near top— never used 4x4– very nice ride

No mud and road is in good shape. (Until we get snow/rain) We drove this loop clockwise direction.

Trail was dry and weather beautiful. Some steep grades to get to the top when traveling counter clockwise, none of our side by sides had problems with it though. Even the 700s with 4 adults in them. A little rocky and rough but flat on the north end of the trail.
