Trail Overview

This is an easy dirt road with some steep drop offs on the west side of the trail. The gates to this trail close November through March, as high elevation snow makes it impassable. Springtime you may encounter snow or muddy spots. Best time is mid summer and fall. Once dry, the trail is very easy. The views of the valley are unrivaled from this trail, making it one of the most breathtaking and worthwhile.

Beautiful and easy drive, especial where it drops back down the east side. Some of the washes form some "fun" depressions across the road. Fun on a motorcycle but maybe not so much fun on 4 wheels. Just go at a reasonable speed and keep an eye on the road.

Skyline is now open from Bountiful to Farmington. Saw a few families camping at various spots along the way. No snow on the trail.
