Trail Overview
Sidewinder is a 13.6-mile-long trail that starts on the north side of Interstate 80 by Delle, Utah. It runs mostly north while navigating multiple peaks along the mountain range in this area. Starting from the southern end, the trail begins with deep sand off of Jackson Road. As you continue north, the track gains elevation and becomes hard dirt with many loose and embedded sharp rocks. Flat tires are a risk throughout most of this trail. The route becomes rockier as you climb, and in some cases, you're riding purely on large rock slabs. About halfway through the trail, there are some 2- to 4-foot rock ledges combined with switchbacks in loose rocks. After this, you'll ride across a ridgeline and begin to descend toward a dirt access road at the bottom of the valley. The ground surface turns into sand again as you enter some smaller trees and get near the road.

Difficulty
This trail is rocky and loose in many areas. There are several smaller rock ledges along this route and some exposure at the higher elevations. Beware of drainage ditches that the trail crosses; these are in the middle of flat sections and very hard to see until you're on top of them.
