Trail Overview

The Side Canyon Road is a route between Miller Canyon and Amasa Canyon. This route starts at the bottom of a canyon and then climbs to some nice camping spots in the Amasa Valley. The route starts as an easy drive through the sandy wash, then as it climbs starts to become more technical as you encounter some rock ledges and loose gravel. There are some trees that make the road slightly narrow, which could give full-sized vehicles some pinstripes along the side. The biggest rock ledges encountered do have a less technical bypass for an easier option. This road also has the potential of encountering snow during the colder months.
