Seaman Wash Road-BLM563-KC3400 is an 8.6-mile point-to-point rated 3 of 10 located within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Seaman Wash is a single-track road that connects Highway 89 with Nephi Pasture Road. Seaman Wash runs through a red rock canyon with steep walls and interesting rock formations. The road crosses several washes which may be more difficult to cross after bad weather. The road consists of mostly hard pack dirt and sand which can be deeper crossing washes. Once into the interior of the national monument cell phone coverage is limited to the trail closer to Highway 89.

Difficulty

Trail consisting of loose rocks, dirt, and sand with some slickrock surfaces, mud holes possible, no steps higher than 12". 4WD may be required, aggressive tires a plus.

Steep hills with large ruts, washed out sections causing hills to be off-camber. Loose dirt in spots. Driven in December in the dark. Still a lot of fun!
