Trail Overview

Reservation Ridge is a well-maintained, well-traveled Forest Service road that runs on the borders of the Uinta and Ashley National Forests. Outside of the occasional rut, it is a smooth ride. Nothing your stock Subaru can’t handle. On the east end, there is a large paid campground, first-come, first-served. Followed by various dispersed camping sites. It is about 1.5 cars wide and is traveled in both directions. The road runs along the top of the mountain ridge and is exposed to the wind for much of the way. The offshoots are slightly more difficult but often reward you with spectacular views of Ashley National Forest and amazing dispersed camping. Keep your eye out for wildlife, including bears.
