Ponderosa Loop Mini (Trail #44 of the Markagunt OHV System) is a 1.6-mile loop through Dixie National Forest’s ponderosa pines. Located on the Markagunt Plateau, this beginner-friendly route features a gentle 158-foot elevation gain, making it ideal for families, side-by-sides (SxS), and ATVs. With a technical rating of 2, the unpaved dirt surface contains minor ruts, small erosion spots, and occasional rocky patches but presents no major obstacles. The trail serves as an easy warm-up ride or connector near Duck Creek Village.
