Papa Bear Spur FS 4848

Forest Service Trail 4848 connects Papa Bear Spur FS 42118 with Monroe Mountain Road Spur. This rocky little trail twists through the aspen grove in this area. The rocks are 12 inches or less and good ground clearance is required. There is minimal erosion on this trail. Whenever you leave the main trails on this plateau, the chance to see wildlife improves. The views are stunning. There are a lot of lakes and reservoirs to fish in this forest. Some have daily limits that differ from others. Be sure to check the details.
