Trail Overview

The Rocky Ford Trail is technically not part of the Paiute Trail, but it begins breaking off trail 01 and is almost always done when riding parts of the Paiute Trail. It's one of the more unique trails in the area. There are some great views. You have the option to start in Circleville, or just outside of Kingston. Regardless of which way you go, you will be riding about 5 miles on trail 01 of the Paiute Trail. This section of 01 has a 60" width restriction and the Rocky Ford has a 50" restriction. The parts of the 01 you travel are barren and open and full of small rocks, making it easy but rough. After that, you climb through a narrow canyon full of beautiful trees and fragile rock formations before ending at Rocky Ford Reservoir.Could be impassable with snow during winter.
