Trail Overview

The ride up Dry Creek will explore much of the Monroe Mountains East of Marysvale. There are so many interconnecting trails in this area that its best to find your own adventure. The trails vary in difficulty, but all are gorgeous high-mountain views with great fall weather.

Please stay off Monroe Mountain. 10,000 acres has been burned with this fire. Forest service has closed off all trails up on Monroe Mountain and on Cove Mountain.

Starting at about 10,200' I encountered a drift that had been broken through. I had to winch to get past it and stay on the trail due to mud. Around the corner at about 10,500' I hit an impassible drift (see pic). Turned around, had to winch back across the other spot, and rode back out. This drift appears to only have sunlight on it during the morning hours, so at this rate it will likely be July before the trail is clear.
