Modena Canyon Road-Hamblin Valley Road

Modena Canyon Road-Hamblin Valley Road is a 14.4-mile point-to-point trail rated 2 of 10 located in Iron County, Utah. This road is the major access from the community of Modena and the Hamblin Valley ranching community. Modena Canyon/Hamblin Valley Road is a well-maintained 2-lane dirt road usable by any vehicle that crosses the Indian Peak Range. The road follows the Modena Draw. Of notable interest along this road is the Modena Cemetery and several hiking trails. To the northwest of the road are the Bob Leroy Peaks. These peaks were named after Robert Leroy Parker who was better known as Butch Cassidy. To the west of the road is the White Rock Range Wilderness, which provides an important habitat for mule deer, elk, coyote, cougar, golden eagles, northern harrier, hawks, owls, and prairie falcons. Cell phone service is intermittent. The nearest services are in Enterprise or Newcastle, Utah, to the east or Panaca, Nevada, to the west.
