Trail Overview

This is a beautiful quick mountain pass in one of the most active mine areas in Northern Utah. There are a ton of old mines and active mines in the area. At the top of the pass, you can see all of Utah Lake and many mountains of the Wasatch Front. The trail is very narrow with little room for passing along this route.

Most the Snow had melted during the record warmth we had, but on the northern side of the mountains it was a wet deep Snow that was very slippery and deep. We ended up sideways in 4wd at one point and ended up lowering my tire pressure to 20psi and got straight and out of there pretty easy. also halfway across the top is good sized downed oaoak in the road but I was able to get my f150 around it without a problem, also muddy in alot of places.

Snow was pretty deep in some places, still doable but maybe not for some 4WD’s.
