Lower South Desert Overlook

Graded trail that travels to perhaps the best overlook of the South Desert in Capitol Reef National Park. The trail starts on BLM land but crosses over into Capitol Reef National Park about halfway through. The trail is easy but does have washboard sections. The trail ends at a trailhead to the overlook with a large area to park and turn around.
