Trail Overview

This trail takes you to 4500 feet above sea level in the Dixie National Forest. The views include the Harmony Mountains to the north and some of the many canyons in the Cottonwood Canyon Wilderness to the south. To the east, you can see Zion National Park. It's a trail less traveled, so you're not likely to encounter many people. At the end of this trail are some amazing places to tent camp or picnic. The trail is a mix of sand and rocky areas. There is evidence of a forest fire in this area in the past. Opportunities abound for hiking, exploring, and photography. Combine this trail with all of the other spurs off of Leeds Creek-Cottonwood Trail, and you've got yourself a full day in the high country. On one end of the Leeds Creek-Cottonwood Trail, you can refuel or get lunch in St. George. On the other end, Leeds, Utah. This trail is sandy with some slick rock formations to drive over. Starting Feb 2023, Utah began enforcement of its new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will pop up. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal. Good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.

Mostly easy trail with a couple rocky spots that you’ll prefer some 4x4 and clearance for, but nothing large. Highly recommend for an incredible view

Awesome camping spot. The main road is a super simple dirt road but the road out to the end will require some clearance and 4WD
