Trail Overview

Greenwich Canyon Road is a full-size trail which goes along and then crosses the South Fork of Greenwich Creek. You move through aspen groves and pine trees as you move further north and east in the Fishlake National Forest. The water crossing of the creek in early June was easy. The creek runs down the trail for a bit, but it's hard-packed enough to not be terribly muddy. As you move NE, you have a loose rock hill, but it's easy. At the highest elevations, the views are amazing. This trail in the fall is fantastic for viewing the colors. In February of 2023, Utah began enforcement of a new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will appear. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal--good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.

Difficulty

There is one hill that has loose rocks and dirt, but it's not hard. A short off-camber area is easy. And the water crossing(s) is easy, too.
