Double Sammy

This trail is 95% slickrock; however, getting to the trailhead is 80% sand unless you take a long way. Right at the trailhead, you quickly get a feel for how the rest of the trail is going to be. Double Sammy has off-camber, steep climbs, shelves, and really a bit of everything. You can look down the mountain and see Sand Hollow Reservoir pretty much throughout the whole trail. This trail is a lot of fun, but you must have a capable vehicle--otherwise, it may not be so much fun. At the end of the trail is the famous "The Chute". You do not need to run Double Sammy to get to The Chute and watch the attempts.
