Trail Overview

For those looking for beautiful scenery and mild obstacles, Deadman Point is a great, relaxing option. Most vehicles should be able to ride the trail relatively easily, however there are a few obstacles that could challenge some stock vehicles. Enjoy views of Spring Canyon, Hellroaring Canyon, Canyonlands National Park and Green River. Expect dirt roads with a few rocky sections, descents, short ledges, sandy washes and slickrock, but nothing too demanding for experienced 4X4 drivers.

This Trail is actually a combination of various Trails in this area. I travel the Southwest section. S in fairly good shape. You'll encounter ruts, steps, and drop offs. All under 12 in. There is some softer sand near the blaster to the trail.

Although this is a long trail, the views at the end are really spectacular. I went down the right, north, arm of the Y first. It is harder than a 2, but not a hard 3 at all. In my stock SAS Bronco, I tried to take the hardest lines, and did not bump or scrape. I went back and did the left, south, arm of the Y. It is even easier until right at the end. The 2 ledges in the last couple hundred yards are legit 3s. Still no scrapping, and an even better view than the north arm. I used to own a Bronco Sport Badlands. While riding this trail, I thought it is a perfect BS BL trail. Coming back, just past where the Y meets, there is a left turn that apparently goes out the mesa. At about 1 mile, there is a serious ledge. A solid 4, about 3 feet of straight down drop. I turned around there, not so much because of the drop as the fact that the mesa driving was no more interesting than driving it back on Spring Canyon Bottom road. 1 group of 5 motos and one Jeep were the only others on the trail. All in all a great ride

Trail in great shape. Excellent for novice dirt bike riders. Some minor technical riding up rocks (small ledges) just before getting to the lookout point.
