Trail Overview
Part of the Great Western Trail system, thus the somewhat odd naming convention of "Center GWT". This trail seems to be the most challenging and diverse of all the trails that are near Strawberry Reservoir. It traverses up and down several of the small mountains in this area, running north/south and crossing several other intermediate east west trails. You'll encounter small rock ledges, tree roots, and tight, squirrely turns. There will be some epic views along the way, as well. I even saw a massive bull Elk out here! Trail rating is based on the few rocky areas, some small bits of exposure, and potential for water crossings, although, as of this early spring writing, the trail was dry everywhere except one spot. If you're a decent intermediate rider, this shouldn't present any major difficulties. Keep in mind that most of the trails in this region are multi-use, including horse, hiking, and motorcycle. Although I did not encounter any other users, please be mindful that others could be out there, too.
Difficulty
You'll encounter small ledges, lots of rocks and roots, tight turns and the occasional log across the trail. Watch out for wildlife and other users.
