Trail Overview
Broad Canyon Road is a 6.3-mile point-to-point trail rated 3 of 10 located in Utah County. This trail is a single-width vehicle trail consisting of hard-packed dirt and gravel base. Broad Canyon Road runs through the middle of the Tintic Mountains. This trail is open year-round and the difficulty level may increase after inclement weather and in the winter if snow levels drop in the area. Mud is highly possible in the fall, winter, and spring months. The East Tintic Mountains are a chain of peaks situated to the southwest of Utah Lake in the north-central part of the US state of Utah. The tallest and most prominent peak in the range is Boulter Peak at 8,307 feet. The area has a diverse wildlife population and the vegetation is a mix of deciduous and evergreen which create a multitude of colors in the fall months. Broad Canyon Road is a primary connector between 12-Mile Pass Road and Black Rock Canyon. Cell phone service is intermittent near both ends of the trail. The nearest services are in Eureka.
