Chambers Branch - FS 736

Chambers Branch Road, Forest Service Road 736, runs out of shaded hardwood and works its way onto the ridge through stands of pine. This 1/10 trail is graded gravel the whole way, with a few recently freshened sections and nothing in the way of obstacles. Pull-offs are scattered along the route, including a wide one at the high point that opens to a long layered view of the mountains to the southwest. Logging has opened up the country, so the roadside is young regrowth, and the sight lines are good. It makes a great evening drive to watch the sunset.
