Trail Overview
Water Tower is ranked Blue and should be able to be transversed by any semi-skilled rider on a dirt bike, ATV or SxS. This trail is a more moderate-ranked trail at the facility with a few grades and rockier terrain covering .6 miles. It has an elevation gain of 148 feet and a loss of 17 feet. You will encounter a tighter trail with washouts and mudholes in locations and various-sized rocks (12 inches or less). In a few locations, you will need to pick your line to avoid either rocks and/or washouts. Named after the water tower along the trail from the property's coal mining past, the trail provides a variety of views, traveling mostly in the woods, but does open up in one location. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding in both directions.
Difficulty
You will encounter various mud holes, trail obstacles up to 12 inches, and a few steep-grade portions that have loose rocks and uneven, rutted portions. The majority of the trail is one SxS wide with areas to pull off to pass.
