Trail Overview

This trail begins in the town of Marsh Creek, beginning at the old Fish Hatchery before entering Tioga State Forest and traveling north following Marsh Creek. The trail is composed of dirt and is easy to travel during dry conditions. Steady rain causes overflowing in many of the areas along the creek, creating very muddy conditions for most of the trail. There are multiple areas of the trail that cross over the creek or many of the surrounding streams, and runoffs, which regularly overrun the road surface.

Difficulty

Trail conditions when raining become very slippery with mud. The many washouts that can exist where the trail crosses Marsh Creek or its tributaries can cause loss of traction on the many areas of shelf road that the trail contains.
