Trail Overview

Short Lane - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Located at the Northern End of the park, Short Lane should be able to be traversed by anyone on a motorcycle, OHV, ATV, or SxS. It is just under 6/10ths of a mile in length and was built as part of the second phase of the park. Short Lane starts at one end with a 3-way intersection of Coyote Pass and Blue Pipe, and the other end with Mailbox Road. Short Lane also intersects Oak Lane and Cherry Run. There is one section with an elevation change. Located within the woods and an open area, Short Lane offers access to one of Rock Run’s OHV play area sectors. This trail is open to motorcycles, OHV, ATV, and SxSs. You will find both embedded stones and loose stones, along with some mud, in locations. It is a wider trail with ample room to pass. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in August 2025.

Muddy/Wet
There was some work done on Short Lane in late 2025. A few of the larger mud holes were filled in. A few smaller holes remain now and may have standing water in them depending upon the season. You can typically go around the edge to avoid the water if you desire. The trail is in good riding condition.
