Trail Overview

Rough and unmaintained section of road leading to/from Pennsylvania Salt Springs State Park. Roads can be highly variable, with trees down, flowing water, and large washes. The section closer to the park entrance is somewhat rocky with loose stone and slightly better maintained on the southern end. Currently, there is a marked area with a large wash that has exposed a drainage pipe; use caution; it is well-marked. There are quite a few mud holes and a shallow water crossing no more than 6".

Difficulty

Large washes around 12" at time of writing, there are very few, if any, places to pass. Water crossings are 6" or less though mud pits are highly variable.

This 2 mile dirt road had been completely resurfaced, graded, and has some nice scenery. Leads down into Salt Springs State Park. Camping, bathrooms, etc. Excellent hiking trails around the park.

Trail maintenance appears to be finished. The road is fairly smooth and free of any obstacles the entire length of the trail

The wash in the middle of the trail has been repaired. There is road ongoing road maintenance. Hopefully not too repaired.
