Trail Overview

A beautiful wooded trail along the Shriner Mountain ridge. The trail is mostly rocky, becoming slightly rougher as you go. Enjoy the solitude of this out-and-back adventure through dense evergreen growth, clearings, and some possible mud. There is a large turnaround area at the end, which is also a very peaceful place to pause for a few minutes. Barner Gap Trail (hiking trail) intersects Old Tar Road about 3/4 of the way to the turn-around.

Very fun!! Not super wet but had some decent mud holes, nothin too deep. Pretty rocky an bumpy in some parts. Trail gets right in some parts so prepare for some scrathes.
