Trail Overview

Off of Route 56, start on Mountain Road. As you start to climb the mountain, the road turns to dirt with a few washed-out areas but is easily traveled. Once you reach the top, there is a pull-off area that offers a great view of the valley. Continuing on the road, the area opens up and has an amazing view of the wind turbines. At the end of the road, there are numerous directions to split off and travel other roads through Gallitzin State Forest.

Difficulty

There are small washed-out areas on the initial climb of the mountain, but you can work your way around those areas easily.

Relaxing drive thru the state park. Overlook is great!! Windmills are awesome. Very dry conditions.
