Trail Overview

Oak Road winds through the rugged Port Clinton Tract of Weiser State Forest, providing access to top spots like the Port Clinton Fire Tower, the popular hiking destination of the Pinnacle Trail, and several other rewarding hiking adventures. Designated roadside campsites are available along the trail, offering a great base for overnight stays — just be sure to check the Pennsylvania DCNR website for current camping rules, regulations, and required permits. Keep in mind that the entry side of Oak Road can become hazardous during winter conditions, so use caution if traveling in colder months. Whether you’re setting up camp or heading out for a scenic trek, Oak Road opens the door to some of the best this forest has to offer.

Icy as hell, please use caution going up the hill in snowy weather due to the HUGE DROP OFFS that weren't stated in the trail description

You need some fortitude to do this in a car. It’s totally doable, but if you freak out and stop or slow below 5 mph on the way up, you may not get started again as it’s steep, loose, and washboarded almost always. Do not attempt in winter with 2WD!
