Forge Lake

Forge Lake starts immediately across from the exit of Crucible 2. It begins with a rock bowl gate and then some woods that run up and around to the main rock garden of the trail. This rock section is one of the most technical rock sections Rausch Creek has to offer to date. Big rocks, big holes, off-camber trail. Stickies and rear steer highly recommended. After the main rock section, the trail loops around to some woods and a steep downhill to a black-level rock garden that borders "Forge Lake". A rail bed woods run brings you to the ridge line exit where the "Snake Hole" obstacle is located. Beware of the large black snake that lives in the tree. There is a bypass for this short loop. The Ridge Line Trail continues on out to the trail exit at K Trail.
