Trail Overview

This is generally an easy gravel trail that winds along and through Fishing Creek. It's about 1.5 vehicles wide, but there are numerous pull-outs to allow opposing traffic to pass. Remote and scenic. There are three water crossings that have a concrete slab bottom, but after significant rain, these could pose a challenge.

Difficulty

Other than the water crossings if the creek is running high, there is nothing here that a stock 2WD vehicle can't handle. This is a smooth gravel road for most of the trip and paved at the end on the way to the state park with the vista.

Few trucks parked fishing. Quite peaceful and fun to drive through if you are in the area or want to fish for a few hours. No cell service.

Wet, but very low water height at the 3 water crossings that are on the trail. Easily passed in a stock ride height vehicle.

A very easy gravel road to drive. The trail follows a creek with a few paved shallow water crossings. A great way to just get outside and enjoy the outdoors!

Great way to spend an hour or more. 20 min drive to the lookout. Bathrooms, grills, parking at the lookout. 20 min drive back to the starting point when you’re done or you can take main roads.

Pretty easy trail, three water crossings about 3” deep with concrete slabs. A couple muddy holes about 5” deep (avoidable). The trail is about 1.5 vehicles wide but there are lots of of pull offs. Overall pretty easy trail with a nice overlook at the end.

A few ruts, but trucks will be fine. Some low clearance cars might have a problem.

Trails had sustained a lot of damage resulting in a lot more potholes than previously before the storms rolled through. Washout on the middle bridge watched a lot of sedans scrape and even suvs if not approached technically

Short trail, lots of people out swimming and fishing, plenty of space to pull over for oncoming traffic

Some mud, mostly water (puddles and crossing). Even after a good 1-2” of rain last night, the water was much below 12” crossing the bridges. People were pulled off fishing but the trail itself was not busy.

Decided to check it out for the first time, plenty of small 6-8” puddles and rough terrain with those style puddles, and bigger ones some at most getting only 8-12” deep but still plenty of fun with the hard compacted ice and make sure you have good clearance on the front and rear of your vehicle because getting into the water crossings are fairly steep now that the water has melted the majority of the ice but the ice that is still there gives you a pretty fun challenge (pictured) Hope to be back when it’s real muddy lol
