Trail Overview
Eagleton Run Trail is primarily an ungraded, dead-end gravel and dirt road. It is an easy ride in the summer months; however, there is no winter maintenance. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road can become rutted and harder to travel on. In times of heavy rain or spring snow melt, the area at the western end turns into a nice muddy play area. Eagleton Run Trail is within Sproul State Forest. There are numerous spots to stop along this road and enjoy the foliage and possible wildlife. There are a few camp sites located in this part of Sproul State Forest to choose from. This region of Pennsylvania is a great place to explore during the fall when the leaves are changing color, and the full beauty of the State Forest is on display.

Eagleton Run Trail is primarily an ungraded gravel and dirt trail. The dirt section is the last 2/3 of the trail. It is a rutted, tight, muddy ride in the summer months; however, there is no maintenance, which means you may need a chainsaw. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road will become heavily rutted and extremely hard to travel on. The west end of the trail will turn into a nice muddy play area in the heavy rainy season, as well as when the snow melts.
