Colerain Road

This is probably the most traveled road in Rothrock. Campsite was occupied. Trailheads had people parked and off hiking. Traffic was several vehicles.

All the snow and ice hazard from my last trail report here is now melted and a non issue.

Colerain is a dangerous road. We were still unsure of ice. So, we started up the south facing side. Not too bad, snow covered and ice in the tracks. But, then we got to the ridge top and the north facing slope. Snow had drifted from the vista, causing the road to only be passable on half. We saw no headlights coming, so we headed down. It was sketchy. To the point my son asked if he could just walk. Since Colerain only gets icing we stopped at Brady road and went east.
